| FOOTBALL fans can drink to success with a new lager dedicated to Newport County. County Pilsner is already available on draught at the Carpenters' Arms on Newport's High Street and will soon be at Bar Amber at Spytty Park. Ales Distribution, based in Maesglas, came up with the idea to celebrate County's promotion to the Conference. Owner and lifelong County fan, Leigh Faulkner, 31, from Rogerstone, said the pilsner has an authentic continental taste. A pint costs £2 and Mr Faulkner said Ale Distribution is the first wholesaler to target specific clubs and brand it to their fan base and he is now looking at producing similar lagers for cricket clubs. Any pubs interested in installing County Pilsner should call Mr Faulkner on 01633 840082.
